White blood cell count through the roofMy mother has had to enter the hospital about five times in the last year. Her last hospital visit was due to a ring of sparkles she saw in her vision. It did not completely cut off her vision it was just sparkles at the sides of her vision. However for the last year, year and a half, many of her visits have been due to an elevate white blood cell count. Although all the doctors she has seen believes it may be an underlying infection, they cannot determine what it is or where it is affecting. Her white blood cell count is at about 19,000 and she has been ruled out for Lukemia and several other things but has not been able to tell us what it is. She has a couple of other symptoms like severe acid indigestion and if she sits in one position or if something lays on her for a minute or so, it becomes painful. Also she is believed to have PCOS now after years of being told that she was diabetic, she was just told that it may have been PCOS this whole time and that her body makes glucose but doesn't know what to do with it.
