Knee Replacements not quite right

Post a new topicby corbinl on Thu Jun 18, 2009 1:14 pm

My husband had bilatteral partial knee replacements done 6 months ago. I need to mention that prior to surgery there was considerable osteoarthritis on the insides of his knees, which is why the partials were done. However, I think that the doctor overlooked the fact that my husbands legs where very bowed prior to surgery. Now 6 monthes after surgery, some of the bow was corrected at surgery, however my husband has pain in both legs (at the knees), mostly weight bearing, constantly.
His surgeon suggests we give recovery a little longer and that he may have to go and do total knee replacements because the partials apparently aren't working? Are you kidding me?
My husband and I are starting to feel that his leg alignment is not right, which is causing all this pain, the doc won't completely agree with that theory. If anyone has any insight to this never ending story please let us know.
