Dialysis

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Jun 26, 2004 1:38 am

I am nearing the time to start dialysis. I have the access for hemodialysis. but my Nephrologist is pushing for peritoneal Dialysis. He has changed his opinion in the past 1 1/2 yrs about which one is better. I cannot make up my mind on what to do. I was on Hemodialysis in 1983-84 for acute renal failure. My kidneys were shut down for 60 days. I lost 45# while I was in the hospital. I started out in a local Hospital, but transferred to Cleveland Clinic.
Would appreciate some input on which is better.
