Renal Replacement Therapy

Hello. My mother (68, on dialysis) has been asked to go for a CatScan to try to find the source of her blood spotting. However, this scan will kill all remaining kidney function + put her on the machine 3 times per week.
Do you know of ANY other way of verifying the source of spotting OTHER than injecting dye? Surely there must be another way... Help, please.
