Reccovery from a ARF

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Sep 25, 2002 5:07 am

My Mother (Aged 55), went for a knee replacment surgery and due to some complications developed Acute Renal Failure.
This got better in course of time, with urine outpur starting and Creatnine level falling, which was achieved after doing dialysis.
It is more than two months since.
She no longer needs dialysis.
Her creatnin which was 7.2 after last dialysis, has gradully come down to 2.8 over a period of #6 weeks. However the decline seems to be tapering now is settling around 2.8
My question is, what are the Risks involved if a person continues to have a high Creatnine of 2.8 also the BUN is around 100
Is their thearpy we need to do for this.

Thanx
