Hello Grandmasue.

Since you didn't indicate how long you have had renal failure, or if you are on dialysis, the next step is to find out what exactly is making you itch so badly. It *could* be an issue of high phosphorus. How are your blood tests? It could also be a build-up of toxins in the blood. I am not a doctor, so you might want to check with him/her to get a proper diagnosis.

As far as temporary relief, might I suggest trying various body oils. They hydrate your skin. Also, look into different dry skin lotions such as Curel, Sarna, and Gold Bond. They are a bit more expensive than some lotions, but well worth the investment.
