Re: ProteinuriaIn 2005 my husband's doctor ordered a 24hr urinalysis due to high creatinine and high protein in urine test. The results of the 24 test showed very high levels of protein should be <150 was 3652. He was given an assumed diagnosis of FSGS (focal segmental glomelur sclerosis). Not having health insurance we looked for alternative treatments since quite often the only treatment available is steroids. We have been treating him w/herbs for over 3 years and have been able to keep his kidney function stable. Not understanding much of the terminology I just started typing: define and the terminology into google and started reading everything I could. If you have questions about lab terminology, I suggest you call them and ask what the abbreviations stand for so you can do further research. You are paying for these tests make sure you understand them and don't just take your doctors word without question. If you would like information on which herbs support kidney issues I'd be happy to make some basic reccomendations. I had to become a "hobby nephrologist" to understand what is going on.
Good luck to you!
