i just do not understand what is going on; can anyone help me

I don't understand anything my doctors are saying to me or what they want me to do. I went to a urologist, he told me he think I have a kidney disease. Some type of nephrotic syndrom type one or two not sure which one; one is less chro;nic than the other; is the way i understand it. Anyway, he said he found blood cast in my urine and wanted me to see an nephrologist for a second opinion. So I did. He said there was not enough evidence for him to agree with diagnois. All blood work, IVP and MRI have come back okay. However, I have edema all over and pain in my right side (not acute; but chronic), blood in urine all the time.( i can see it more now than a few years ago.) fatigued. Every year I gain fifteen pounds ( i gain it all at once; not just afew pounds here or there) anyway, the nephrologist says he can't help me. unless i go into kidney failure. He gives me no diet or anything to follow. but tells me I need to lose weight. I even though i have been tring to do that for years. i am at my wits end. and tired of trying to get answers. can anyone help me.

I can not make any diagnosis over the internet nor is it the purpose of theis website. I would recomend that you back to see your Nephroogist and Uroogist and bring a family member or close friend. Go prepared with a list of questions:

Example:
What is the cause of the blood in my urine?
Why do I gain so much weight and edenma?
Do I have protein in my urien?
What is my kidney function?
etc..
