acute nephrotic syndrome

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Mar 14, 2004 10:00 pm

My my 21 year old son was diagnosed with accute nephrotic syndrome in August 2002, Since then he has been on prednisone, cytoxin, cyclosporin and now mycophenolate. Everything he used up to this point worked temporarily. He was an active healthy young man until he suddenly got this disease in 2002. I just read that in 15 to 40 year olds that this disease is usually the result of an underlying problem. All this medication has been so hard on him mentally and physically. He is going to have another biopsy done in a couple weeks. If anyone has any information that would help him I would be so greatful.
Thank you,
