recently discovered only single kidney

Post a new topicby mom2ex2 on Wed Sep 19, 2007 9:49 am

During a recent US to check the gallbladder because of elevated liver enzymes, my husband was told he does not have a left kidney. News to him. He also has a condition caled CBAVD- congenital bilateral absent vas defrens, and had an extra hemi-vertibrae removed as a teen which caused scoliosis. No gall bladder issures though.

Does any of this fit any pattern or syndrome?

Is there any reason to persue seeing a nephrologist or any other specialist because of the single kidney revelation?

He generally feels tired and sleeps as much as he can.

Any input is appreciated.
