I have a concern following consultants advice

Post a new topicby LewisD on Thu Apr 16, 2009 1:33 pm

Hi am a thirty year old guy and quite healthy. Towards the end of last year i was treated for having renal stones. It was found that i had a very narrow ureter and i thus had a renal stent fitted short term. After i had it removed, i was still getting quite chronic pain and still a lot of blood in my urine.

After a ct scan and xray again at the urology dept and the consultant said it wasnt coming from any more stones. That the bllod and pain must now be coming straight from within the kidney. He was quite insistant that i now see a nephrologist urgently but told me no more as it wasnt a urological issue.

I am obviously concerned as i see there are many things on your page that it could be. Has anyone had the same problems?

Kind regards,

Lewis
