What causes stones?

Post a new topicby Jor-el on Sat Aug 15, 2009 11:05 am

Hi,

I'm 63 and suddenly have 7 kidney stones with no record of them in my family. What could be causing them? No change in diet or habbitis. The only possibilities I can think of are;

I started taking a couple spoons of vinegar daily for the past couple years
I had septic staph in 04 from failed back surgery resulting in massive doses of Vancomycin
My knee hurst alot so I took glucosomine for awhile
I take poloyconsinal - an efftive over the counter remedy for high colesteral (made from natural cane)

By the way, there were not stones seen during the MRI or Xray for my back in 04. Where did they suddenly come from?

Since this is not a scientific forum, guesses are ok!!
