Kidney Stones

Can you pass kidney stones from one kidney to the other?

Hi,
I have never heard of this happening. I have a long family history of stones. From what I understand about the anatomical sturctures of the kidneys, there isn't anything connecting (joining) two normal kidneys together. So, with that being said, stones shouldn't pass from one kidney to another. I hope this helps.
