I had basket extraction last Wednesday. I had a stent pulled yesterday after five days. Especially at night, I am having ureteral spasms. Is this a common post extraction complaint? Thanks, Carol [moderator note: e-mail address has been removed]

It may be best to call your doctor, but the surgery can leave your system out of whack for a couple of weeks.

Take your temperature and monitor the color of your urine. A hot bath may help, and you can try Pyridium or Azo, which may help. Hope you're feeling better soon.
