Just try to ask a question to a Doctor over the phone?I recently have been to 4 different doctors for pain in my abdominal area and the feeling of needing to urinate in the wee hours of the night(after I have already gone) The urologist (CNP) said that I would need another cat scan without contrast...(I orginally was diagnosed with a hernia which turned out bogus. Anyway....I've posted three pics at

I think there is a reason she choose to close the door and look at images all day. I was going to start the conversation with....I've decided to take a personal interest in resolving the pain. I obviously have gotten desperate to post my body to the web but there it is.

I have tried to read my own, and spotted stone, but little else. The Radiologist will not talk to you; their responsiblity is to report to the attending physician, however, you have a right to see your written report and can request that information in writing. Try to find a teaching hospital to help you. I recommend the clinic at Johns Hopkins; Dr. Brian Matlaga is the director of Stone Diseases and a real sweetheart. He listens, and is one of the best -- if not THE best -- in the field. JH will trat you like a queen, and well worth the trip. For pain, you can try 2-4 tablets of "AZO Standard" (blue and white box) every 4-6 hours, available at Walmart for about $7 - the same thing you get by prescription from the pharmacy. Force fluids and cranberry juice -- sorry -- coke, sprite, tea, etc is not considered "fluids" - it has to be water. Good luck - you are in my prayers. I can say with all confidence that I know how you feel. Cathrine001
