I can't keep doing this... I need help!!!Hi, I'm 33 yrs old and have passed around 340 kidney stones i have had many stints, Litho's. Ever since I have had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago I have been producing them like mad. The 13mm stone I have now was formed in a month. My doctor told me he can do nothing else for me and that I need to find another doctor that can help me. He has no idea why I am producing so much calcium. I can't keep going though this pain. I can't hold a job because I'm in and out of the hospital so much. Its having a toll on my marriage because I'm sick all the time. I have a 5 year old little boy to raise and all these stones make it real hard. I live in Maryland but I am willing to travel anywhere to find a good doctor willing to take on my case. Thank you for reading..

Re: I can't keep doing this... I need help!!!Honey, I know what you are going through! I am 24 and have had too many to count since I was 16. My aunt died at the age of 28 due to the damage the kidney stones done to her kidney. You sound like you have the same condition that we do. It isn't that our bodies are making too much calcium, for some reason, our kidneys do! I had a great urologist named Dr. Kenneth Beasley in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The last time I saw him was two and half years ago. Everytime I would get a lot of stones built up in my kidney he would clean them out. I hadn't had problems for two years and now I have 7 stones in my right kidney again and he has left. I have looked everywhere for him and nobody will tell me where he went. So now, I am in constant pain, I have a 22 month old and a six year old. All of the doctors I have seen said that since the stones are still in my kidney that they shouldn't cause any pain. I finally got one doctor to listen, but he won't do surgrey until Feb. 12th. I have to go a whole nother month of this crap! I have had a constant kindey infect for the past month. I have went through two things of anitbiotics. And one doctor said I needed to go see a shrink! I feels so good to see people on here with the same problems, let's me know that I am not crazy! All I can say is keep going to every urologist you can find until you find one that will listen! I will keep you in my prayers!
Re: I can't keep doing this... I need help!!!Ashley....
This is kinda eairy. Mine started when I was 16, 95% of my stones are in the right side. I have other family member that have stones but fortunately no where close to how many I have had. Could you be my long lost sister I knew nothing about??? lol My doctor told me a year ago October that I wouldn't last 6months if the stones continued. I am happy to say I"M STILL HERE!!! But for how much longer i'm not sure. My doctor has told me when I went in for kidney pain and found that the stone was still in the "meat" that there is pain when it hasn't release in to the ureter. With have these stones for so long I can tell where and sometime how big the stone is just by the pain. I can't believe that so called doctor told you you needed a shrink. If it was me he told that to I would have planted my knee so far in his nuts HE would have needed a Urologist!!! My doctor said there is a doctor in North Carolina he wants me to see. I haven't gotten his name yet but i know he is in Raily Durum area. When I go back for my next surgery I will get his contact info and make the trip. I'm fortunate that my brother Chris (who also has had a few stones) lives only 30 mins or so from there. I'm not looking for a cure because I haves given up on that. But just to slow them down a bit so i cam have some kinds quality of life would be nice. This is 2009 someone somewhere has to be able to help us!!!
Re: I can't keep doing this... I need help!!!LoL, maybe. I have had 4 stones in my left kidney for four years now, they never bother me, it is always my right side. I just got a urine culture faxed to me from my doctor, I have E. Coli in my urine. I have been through two antibiotics. Still in pain. I have to bare through the pain in the mornings while taking my daughter to school and my son to one of his grandparents, then as soon as I am in the door at work I dump my purse looking for my pain pills. Doctors just keep telling me I shouldn't have pain as long as they are in the kidney, but I can't help it, I DO!!!!!
