the stone masterI started getting stone when I was 27. That was 18 yrs ago and about 60 stones. You would think that I could be pass them with out pain . I think that more you pass the longer it takes. Now to pass a stone it can take up to 6 or 7 weeks if not more. And as always the pain is still as bad as the first one , but it last all of that time. I also have a 9mm stone embedded in my left kidney and the doctors tells me that I should not feel it. How would they know if they never had one.

Re: the stone masterDear Stonemaster,
I can certainly identify. I have numerous small stones in both kidneys and suffer almost constant pain. The doctors say the stones cant hurt if in the kidney: HA HA ! I would love for one physician to believe me. Keep Looking. Good Luck, Melissa
Re: the stone masterJust read your post. Found this website tonight and am getting a good laugh. Doctors are x$x#%#$ in the rumps. You will most likely feel the 9mm and probably end up in the ER. I have passed over 400 stones in the past 12 years and can tell you they are always painful. Hope this one passes smoothly. Always ask for pain meds and don't let the Doctor give you Tylenol. This is not a minor pain.
Good luck...
Re: the stone masterI have had lots of Doctors tell me I shouldn't be in pain becasue the stone isn't moving. Keep looking for a new Doctor who will believe you! It does hurt I have only been getting stones for 5 years. Lithotrispy helps but then a new stone forms in 6 months. My Kidney stones develop in a different part of my Kidney so it will never pass. When It is blasted nothing will pass. I am havign a partial nephrectmy on Monday so hopefully this will help stop a new one from forming.
