I am glad to hear your surgery was successful and your ordeal is over for now. My husband has been going through a similar situation for the last month. He has multiple stones which have left him relatively unscathed for the last 5 years or so. Not so this month. ER docs told us he had a 7mm stone on left side, upper 1/3 of uretar and smaller one on right. He ended up going in for a cystoscopy with the intention of breaking up the stone and removal, but the stone flew back into the kidney. He had stents put in (caused big pain to his surprise), but due to our insurance, we are unable to find anywhere to have an ESWL. One week later and he has a fever and is in much pain. I'm hoping his ordeal will be over soon, too.
