VUR

Post a new topicby Courtney's mom on Sun Dec 28, 2008 4:05 pm

My 20 m.o. daughter was diagnosed with VUR after multiple kidney infections, and ultrasound/ VCUG testing. The findings were bilateral reflux, hydroureter, hydronephrosis, pyelocaliectasis and distended bladder. She has since been treated with antibiotics, detrol, etc. and a procedure called DEFLUX which did not help. She is scheduled for ureteral reimplantation in February. Her urologist has not explained these findings to me, or the treatments, what to expect from the next surgery, if this will resolve the problem or will she have more procedures? Has anyone any info and/ or experience with this condition?
