Reoccurring Kideny Infections & Fluid Around Kidney

Post a new topicby silvercrush on Mon Jul 13, 2009 11:38 pm

I am really upset what is happening to my kidney health and hopefully I can get some ideas on what is going on with me. I had my first Kidney Infection when I was 19(I am 27 now) and it was so bad I was running 105.6 and I started developing abscess on my right kidney but they didnt form all the way, I had spots on my kidney where they were trying to form so you know I was REALLY sick and in major pain. Then I had 3 more kidney infections within 8 years, then this year add 3 more to that number, but its different...I went into the hospital in January with a bad kidney infection in my right kidney and stayed for a week and they were having alot of trouble getting rid of it with taking 2 antibiotics so they put me on 4. They sent me home with Cipro which I finished off and again 2 weeks after being done with my antibiotic I started having low grade fever between 99.0-100 and had kidney pain again in the same kidney, I waited 2 months and I was still having pain, low grade fever, nausea and fatigue so I went back to the er and they did a cat scan that showed I still had an infection but not as bad as the one in January. The cat scan showed some fluid around my gallbadder which the doctor didnt tell me what it could possibly be. Went home and took cipro again, but this time 2 weeks after I finished the antibiotics new symptoms came up, I feel nauseated, bad right kidney pain, low grade fever that I have had for months now, very fatigued, feeling sick, very weak, dizzy, chest pains, occasionally shortness of breath, feeling like I want to pass out alot, urine builds up very often and when I go to the bathroom it doesnt let out enough and it take 3-4 trips to release and full bladder or it feels so full and I go and feels full again 20 minutes later, I pee alot more at night, sometimes I have to really push the urine out because sometimes it comes out slow even though my bladder is really really full, sometimes I have lost feeling in right leg and foot but it comes back(it does this everyday-every other day), tingeling in my legs or arms, my appetite has decreased immensely. Thats all I can think of for now but I went to the er and the dr said my urine showed no infection but now there is also fluid around my kidney. She said need to see a urologist Easier said than done when you have no insurance and only get $500 every 2 weeks from unemployment to use on a family of five. I cant afford it but I am so scared. Something is going on with my kidney and I cant afford to do anything about it. My grandmother died from kidney failure so I know kidney problems run in my family. I have had 8-10 kidney infections and countless UTI's since I was 19. Why is there fluid around my gallbadder and right kidney? What could this be? I also know my iodine level is really low and my creatinine was abnormal. My breast doctor said I had sepsis but er doctors havent said anything about it. How can my urine be normal now when I still feel like this plus alot more symptoms? I cry every night because of these things happening to me, I feel so bad that I dont feel like myself. I want to feel like me again. Does anyone know what could be going on? I am begging for help :(
