Transitional Cell Carcinoma

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

My 75 year-old far has just been diagnosed Transitional Cell Carcinoma. It is stage IV as it has spread to two spots on his lungs. His kidney removed last week we now searching chemorapy treatments. I have come across use of Paclitaxel in place of cisplatin-based chemorapy. Can give me any or treatment suggestions as well as where I may locate a doctor who is familiar se treatments. My far lives in south Florida. Thank responding.

Any board certified oncologist is capable of caring for and delivering therapy to your father. Other drugs which have shown promise include gemzar and navelbine. Thank you for using oncologychannel and good luck.
