?Kidney ProblemI recently had a new patient medical done, this showed a BP reading of 148/99 and Protein in my urine. For the last 18 months or so I have experienced lower right side back pain which goes around to my groin area. I cannot stand straight for too long as this aggrivates it. I sometimes experience a burning sensation on the right side. I am not going to the toilet any more than usual, but I do find that I cannot hold it at all. I have wet myself sometimes before I can get to the toilet. I am 31 years old and I am going through the early menopause What is concerning me is that my mum has got Kidney Cancer and I am anxious to get this checked for myself. I am having to change my doctor, but there is a delay in my notes going to my new doctor and they are reluctant to do anything until they receive my notes. Can you help? thanks very much.
Re: ?Kidney ProblemAlthough remotely possible, such a symptom complex/scenario does not sound typical of kidney cancer to me, but seeing someone soon and getting set up for kidney imaging (an ultrasound is a reasonable start) is a good idea.
The difficulty with urge incontinence is not likely related, but can certainly be helped. Click on Incontinence and Kidney Cancer at the sidebar, and visit the NephrologyChannel.com re proteinuria for more info meanwhile.
