Kidney Cancer

Hi. Im a kidney cancer patient that was diagnosed almost 2 years ago. I had a radical nephrectomy on my left side. Unfortunately, the 2 immediately touching lymph nodes were positive for cancer (the urologist removed them also). So I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and have been put on sutent. Ever since then I have had a pet scan, octriotide scan (i know im spelling that wrong) and countless cat scans and there is no sign of cancer. My oncologist thinks I should remain on sutent (is he being over careful), but my other doctors think (urologists who did surgery and internal medicine doctor) there might be side effects that come later that we dont know of. Im a 37 year old female who had never smoked or drank. I cant figure out if I should stop the sutent or continue. Does anyone have any suggestions.
