hemangioma

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Jul 23, 2002 11:20 pm

my husbands bone scan showed some "labeling"in his t-7 vertabra.
An earlier mri shows a "very large hemangioma" in t-7.Does this warrant further checking into? He also test positive on a fecal occult.

If there is a history of kidney cancer, and a bone scan shows a lesion in T7, it has to be considered suspicious for a metastatic lesion. If the MRI shows a hemangioma (i.e. a very vascular lesion), I would remain very suspicious since such metastatic lesions tend to be very vascular.
As I wrote before, your doctors will be the best source for personal guidance.
