My father has metastatic stage IV RCC, spread to lymph nodes and lung. His kidney was just removed. To qualify for some really innovative clinical trials, his creatinine level needs to lower. It is currently at 2.8 and needs to be 2.0 to qualify. He also has glomerulonephritis kidney disease in his remaining kidney. Any ideas for bringing down creatinine level? He just started a strict renal diet of 50 grams protein, 2000 sodium, 2000 potassium, 1000 phospherous and 48 oz of fluids.
