Bladder cancer/kidney cancer

Post a new topicby Guest on Sun Jun 03, 2001 12:12 pm

I had bladder cancer in 1998. My tum removed. I also have a unknown mass in anterior aspect of mid portion of right kidney. It measures 1.7 x 3.1 cm in size. a subtle nodular component is seen in it. I have a ultra-sound every 3 months. report states due to to mural nodularity, malignancy cannot fully be excluded. re is also a bilateral symmetric enhancement of kidneys. I had a ct scan of abdomen report also stated a subcentimeter hypodensity in left lobe of liver. Gallbladder is normal, no evidence of an adrenal or pancreatic mass. I know I have a ulta-sound every three months a CT once a year, I am still concerned have in back of my mind it is malignant something should be done, I do not know . My Doctor never recommended me to see an oncology Doctor. Do think I should? Thank r time. Sincerely, Kathleen

With the type and complexity of the questions which you have stated I would suggest having an oncologist review your history and the films and render an opinion regarding therapeutic and diagnostic options. Thank you for using oncologychannel and please write back if other questions should arise. Good luck.
