possible electrolyte imbalance

Post a new topicby mcintosk on Sun Apr 12, 2009 7:36 pm

More than 10 years ago, I had an incident that put me in ICU overnight, then released without a diagnosis, except that it could be panic attack. I have come to avoid the triggers to those episodes by not drinking water when I haven't eaten in awhile. The systems include: pressure in chest, difficult breathing, extreme red flush of upper body, nausea, diarrhea, extreme cramping & pain at times, & drop in blood pressure, nearly passing out.

I'm wondering if these symptoms are due to electrolyte imbalance? They seem much more physically oriented than psyschological. In the past I was thoroughly tested w/o conclusions.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks,
Kathy
