March 2006 I had a colonoscopy. They discovered a large malignant tumor. I was admitted to the hospital and had a colon resection the next day. I had lymph involvement and spread to my liver. I was 47.
No one told me this was serious. I guess a part of me didn’t want to know. Everyone kept saying “We’re going to get this”. It was almost a year later that I found out they can’t “get it”. It shocked me and I felt lied to.
